VESCO AND BACCI WIN THE 17th HISTORICAL REVIVAL OF THE COPPA MILANO–SANREMO

Milan, Sunday 29 March 2026 – The 17th Historical Revival of the Coppa Milano–Sanremo officially came to an end last night in Sanremo with the victory of the two regularity experts Andrea Vesco and Romano Bacci, who delivered an extraordinary performance aboard their 1935 Fiat 508 S. They were awarded by Wyler Vetta with the prestigious timepiece dedicated to the competition, produced in a limited edition of only 120 pieces worldwide.

A strong performance also came from the second-place crew, Gian Marco Fontanella and Giovanni Scarabelli, driving a 1930 FIAT 514 S. Third place went to Francesco Di Pietra and Giuseppe Di Pietra in a 1938 FIAT 508C.

For the Legend category of classic cars from 1966 to 2000, first prize was claimed by Dario Converso and Federica Ameglio with their 1972 Lancia Fulvia Montecarlo. Second place went to the duo composed of Federico Malaguti and Giorgio De Tomaso Urlo at the wheel of a 1973 Pantera, while the third-place finishers were Andrea Galgano and Davide Montani with a 1994 Porsche 911 (993).

Eitel Monaco and Lorenzo Monaco, driving a 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider, were the first-place winners in the Youngtimer category (2001 to today) of the Rendez-Vous class. In second place were Massimo Destefanis and Michael Destefanis aboard a 2020 Porsche 992 4S. Third place was taken by Marco Manzoni and Marta Leandra Mandelli in their 2022 Porsche 992 GT3 Touring.

The Coppa delle Dame (Ladies’ Cup) saw the crew composed of Maria Ines Tajana and Laura Confalonieri, driving their 1966 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider, awarded first place and presented with a canvas artwork created by artist Alberto Peppoloni, curated by VIA! magazine.

The year 2026 marked a historic milestone for the Coppa Milano–Sanremo, Italy’s oldest automobile race, which once again celebrated its 120th anniversary in great style. The event honoured not only its historic and sporting value, but also the excellence of the regions it crosses every year.
